History
Airways Flying Club is one of the oldest flying clubs in Great Britain, formed in 1948 by employees of British European Airways (BEA), British Overseas Aircraft Corporation (BOAC), and British South American Airways (BSAA) with ex RAF Tiger Moths under the name of Airways Aero Club.

The Club name has changed over the years to Airways Flying Club (AFC), as it was latterly operated under the British Airways banner. In November 2007 the club became part of the Arora Family Trust. Surinder Arora learned to fly at AFC. Over the years the Club has been based at Croydon, Biggin Hill, Denham and White Waltham, but finally moved to its own airfield, Wycombe Air Park, in 1965. Although initially established for Airline staff, the Club has become one of the largest in the country and is open to the general public as well as staff of British Airways and the Arora Group.
